What Can You Expect At Your First Meeting?
- When you check in at the desk, a greeter will give you a friendly welcome and introduce you to other members.
- At your first meeting you will be our guest, and if you choose to become a member, there will be an annual membership subscription (see below).
- There will be brief introductory words from the President highlighting the activities for the months ahead.
- We try to keep the formalities at a minimum; rather than a reading at the meeting, the previous month’s minutes are available on request.
- We have a different speaker/activity at each monthly meeting.
- The formal meeting is followed by refreshments and a chance to chat with other members.
Costs to Subscribe to Gibson WI
Our year begins in April and subscriptions for 2025-26 are £51 (this includes a contribution towards the Essex and National Federations). If you become a member later in the year, the fees are reduced pro rata.
