5 November: Monthly Meeting 7.30pm for a 7.45 start.
Bardfield Vineyard – Rebecca Jordan will talk about the history of the vineyard and offer some wine to taste. Wines and spirits will be available to buy. We will also be holding a raffle to support Saffron Screen, so please bring cash for raffle tickets (£1 each).
6 November: Book Group 10.30-11.45 at Saffron Walden Community Link. This month’s book for discussion is ‘Our Endless Numbered Days’ by Claire Fuller. The December meeting will be Glynnis Virgo talking about her book ‘City of Silk’.
18 November: William Morris & The Pre-Raphaelites Exhibition at The Fitzwilliam Museum with guide Fanny Haynes. Entry to the exhibition is £18 or £8 if you have an Art Pass. Optional lunch afterwards. Meet at the museum at 11 am, lifts available. Please sign up at the meeting or contact Sue H.

VIA – the new learning resource from the WI. You may previously have used the WI Learning Hub. This has been replaced by a brand new system called VIA. There is guidance about how to use the system here. Most courses are still free to WI members but you will need to be logged on for this. There’s a wide range of options and many courses are recorded and can be taken in your own time, so do look at this valuable membership benefit.

Christmas Afternoon Out – Tuesday 15th December, 12.30 pm
This year our Christmas outing will be for Afternoon Tea at Poppy’s Barn, Clavering – please sign up at the November meeting as we need to finalise numbers. Lifts can be arranged.
