The Gibson Women’s Institute has been thriving in Saffron Walden since 1962 and continues today with over 70 members. We are an inclusive community of friendly active-minded women, and we always welcome new members at any time.

Our Meetings
Our regular meeting is on the first Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the United Reform Church Hall on Abbey Lane, Saffron Walden CB10 1AG

We also have a book discussion group, monthly coffee meetings, pub lunches, quiz and games nights, pot luck suppers, participate in fund raising and local support and have interactions with other WI groups in the area.

November 2026
- 5th November: Monthly meeting 7.30 for 7.45 start. Rebecca Jordan from Bardfield Vineyards will talk about the history of the vineyard and offer some wine to taste
- 6 November: Book Group This month’s book for discussion is ‘Our Endless Numbered Days’ by Claire Fuller
- 18 November: William Morris and the Pre-Raphaelites a guided tour of this exhibition at the Fitzwilliam Museum, meet at 11.00 am
- 23 November: Coffee Morning 10.30 at Gluttons, Saffron Walden
