The Gibson Women’s Institute has been thriving in Saffron Walden since 1962 and continues today with over 70 members. We are an inclusive community of friendly active-minded women, and we always welcome new members at any time.

Our Meetings
Our regular meeting is on the first Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the United Reform Church Hall on Abbey Lane, Saffron Walden CB10 1AG

We also have a book discussion group, monthly coffee meetings, pub lunches, quiz and games nights, pot luck suppers, participate in fund raising and local support and have interactions with other WI groups in the area.

- 2 March: Coffee and Craft – 10 am till noon at the Saffron Walden Community Link Building. Bring your favourite project
- 5 March: Monthly meeting, the speaker will be Kat Pulford from St Elizabeth’s School
- 6 March: Book Review at the Saffron Walden Community Link, this month discussing ‘The Nightingale’ by Kirsten Hannah
- 12 March: Trip to Chippenham Park with options lunch at La Hogue afterwards
- 17 March: Lunch at The Mixing Shed, Clanver End
- 23 March: Painting Workshop with Helen Wiseman at her studio in Wimbish
- 24 March: Coffee Morning 10.30-12.00 at the Eight Bells, Saffron Walden
