2 March: Coffee and Craft Morning 10.00-12.00 at the Saffron Walden Community Link. Bring your favourite craft or current project, or just come for a coffee and a chat.

5 March: Monthly Meeting 7.30pm for a 7.45 start. Kat Pulford from St Elizabeth’s School will talk about the history of the school and its work today. If you have any good-quality clothing or bric-a-brac to donate to their shop, please bring this to the meeting.

6 March: Book Review 10.30 at the Saffron Walden Community Link. This month’s book for discussion is ‘The Nightingale’ by Kristen Hannah.

12 March: Trip to Chippenham Park 10.00 am – entrance fee is £10, please note only cash is accepted. Optional lunch afterwards at La Hogue Farm Shop. (The previous trip was cancelled due to adverse weather)

17 March: Lunch 12.30 at The Mixing Shed Cafe, Clanver End. Lifts available

23 March: Painting Workshop 10.00 till 12.30 with Helen Wiseman, at her studio, Pinkneys Manor, Wimbish CB10 2XD. Cost £25.00, still a couple of spaces available – sign up at the meeting.

24 March: Coffee Morning 10.30-12.00 at the Eight Bells, Saffron Walden

Other Events/Activities of Note

VIA – the new learning resource from the WI. You may previously have used the WI Learning Hub. This has been replaced by a brand new system called VIA. There is guidance about how to use the system here. Most courses are still free to WI members but you will need to be logged on for this. There’s a wide range of options and many courses are recorded and can be taken in your own time, so do look at this valuable membership benefit.
